It has been a very long and difficult journey. Watching our daughter disintegrate into near nothingness and the long journey back. It has been worth it. With God’s strength we were able to bear this whole event. It has taken us over three and a half years to get “OUR GIRL BACK”. We relied on prayer, support from close friends and family and the knowledge and experience of Jan Gerber and Dr. Brown.
Initially, Kelsey was diagnosed as being Bi-Polar. We felt strongly that this was not correct. Now, we understand that her body was out of balance and wasn’t functioning correctly. We wonder how many other people face the same situation. So much credit goes to Kelsey for persevering. She had to endure the regimen of medicine and change her diet (she still has symptoms if she wanders too far off the proper diet program). She was determined to feel better. She had to learn how to push herself and redevelop the self-confidence she had lost. Her improved ability to communicate has been freeing for her. Her ability to process language has dramatically improved. Why is this? Could it be because her body is functioning better? It has been so fun to see her join in conversations, laugh with delight and feel joy in her soul.
Kelsey is now working a full time job in her dream land of Colorado. She understands how her body functions, how supplements will always be a part of her life and she knows what to do when she starts getting sick.
We are so proud of her accomplishments and how she is learning to handle independent living. YOU GO GIRL!!!
WE HAVE OUR DAUGHTER BACK AND SHE IS STRONGER AND HEALTHIER THAN SHE EVER HAS BEEN. WE ARE GRATEFUL!!!
If this story gives someone with challenges hope, then it was worth going through this valley in order to provide insight and encouragement to someone else who is struggling.
